Exheat Industrial to Supply Flameproof Air Warmers and Air Sensing Thermostats to Hebron Field

Exheat Industrial, a manufacturer of fast track solutions to the industry's wide and varied requirements for electrical heating systems, is pleased to announce it is to supply FWD flameproof air warmers and HFT air sensing thermostats to the Hebron Field offshore project in Canada.

Exheat Industrial's FWD flameproof air warmers are designed for use in small work or storage areas which are located in Zone 1 and 2 or Zone 21 and 22 Hazardous Areas where the flammable atmosphere is a IIA, IIB or IIC Gas Group. They are suitable for ambient temperatures from -60°C to +60°C. The HFT Air Sensing Thermostat is designed for the temperature control of work or storage areas, in conjunction with a Hazardous Area air heater.

The Hebron field (Hebron, Ben Nevis and West Ben Nevis fields) is located 350 km offshore the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The GBS (gravity-based structure) will have the capacity to store up to 1.2 MMbbl of oil (180,000-230,000 cubic metres). At peak, Hebron will pump 150,000 b/d, while the topsides will need a liquids handling capacity of up to 315,000 b/d due to the high volumes of produced water. It will also have to inject between 100 and 175 MMcf/d of gas. The topsides will weigh 20,000-28,000 tons. The platform will be designed to handle 200,000 to 350,000 b/d of produced water and up to 300 mmcf/d of gas as well as inject as much as 470,000 b/d of sea water. The platform will need to support up to 55 well slots. It is scheduled for start-up in Q4 2017. (Source: The EIC) .
